EVALUATIONS

Complete assessment of receptive language, expressive language, articulation, fluency, voice, feeding, swallowing and/or oral-motor skills.

THERAPY

Based on the results of the evaluation, a measurable treatment plan will guide weekly therapy appointments. Therapy will be fun, interesting and relevant to your child's life.  There is no one therapy approach that will work for every child.  Individualized therapy means that the best, research-based therapy approaches will be combined to provide efficient and effective treatment.

 COORDINATED CARE

At your request, results and recommendations will be shared with your pediatrician, teachers, or other specialists to help with progress across your child's activities and throughout their day.

 RESULTS

Through written and verbal progress reports, your therapist will suggest activities for home, provide you with updates on progress and help guide you through what can sometimes be a fluid process. The goal of therapy is a new, learned behavior seen both in the clinic and in your child's everyday activities.

Experience.

For the past 24 years, I've worked with some amazing children and families. My training began in the hospital setting.  I had the privilege of working for almost a decade at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma with gifted therapists and team members in a variety of inpatient and outpatient clinics.  After having my own children, I worked in the school setting  for several years and for the past 5 years, at another private clinic in Seattle.  I am excited for these new challenges and look forward to working with your family.  -Jen

I always look forward to time at ASHA.  It gives me a chance to dive into the latest research and therapy techniques that colleagues across the country have dedicated their lives and careers to doing. This year was no exception. I attended many lectures dealing with autism, apraxia, speech disorders, voice disorders, stuttering, cleft palate, concussion syndrome, brain research, executive function and attention deficit.  Not only do I love to learn all of this new information, i can't wait to incorporate it into my therapy sessions with your kids.
